After all your pattern pieces have been digitized a model will be created. The creation of a model will eliminate confusion when importing digitized pattern pieces to your system, pattern pieces will be organized and label accordingly. This service must be added to your shopping cart when paying for pattern digitizing Services.

Downloads: Since www.smartpatternmaking.com is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue refunds once the order is accomplished and the product is sent. As a customer you are responsible for understanding this upon purchasing any item at our site. However, we realize that exceptional circumstance can take place with regard to the character of the product we supply. Therefore, we DO honor requests for the refund on the following reasons:
• Non-delivery of the product: due to some mailing issues of your e-mail provider or your own mail server you might not receive a delivery e-mail from us. In this case we recommend contacting us for assistance. Claims for non-delivery must be submitted to our Billing department in writing within 7 days from the order placing date. Otherwise the product will be considered received and downloaded;
• Download and unzipping issues: it may happen so that you are having problems while downloading the product or its unzipping. Claims regarding such issues must be submitted to our Technical Support department at support@smartpatternmaking.com If you do not properly contact us during this period, you agree that we may construe silence as a successful download of the product with no further right of redress or refund for a "download issue" reason. Failure to receive assistance for downloading or unzipping within 3 days may result in a refund decline;
• Major defects: although all the products are thoroughly tested before release, unexpected errors may occur. Such issues must be submitted for our Technical Support Team's approval at support@smartpatternmaking.com We keep the right to rectify the error or defect within 72 hours. If any deficiency is approved and we fail to correct it within 72 hours from the date of the initial complaint letter or any other notification provided by a Customer, the refund will be issued to the customer in full without any compensations or reimbursements. OR, at customer's choice, replacement of the product of the same or around the same value can be offered; Please be advised that temporary access to your server can be requested by our technicians in order to identify and fix the possible issues with our Products. Failure to provide such access in a timely manner may result in a delayed resolution of the issue. Refusal to provide access to your sever will result in your inability to qualify for a refund.
• Product not-as-described: such issues should be reported to our Technical Support Department at support@smartpatternmaking.com within 7 days from the date of the purchase. Clear evidence must be provided proving that the purchased product is not as it is described on the website. Complaints which are based merely on the customer's false expectations or wishes are not honored. Sample products are available for evaluation purpose at our free sample templates section. Please note that we do not bear any responsibility and therefore we do not satisfy any refund/return/exchange requests based on incompatibility of our products with some third-party software (plug-ins, add-ons, modules, search engines, scripts, extensions etc) other than those which are specified as compatible in a description available on the preview page of each product. We don't guarantee that our products are fully compatible with any third-party programs and we do not provide support for third-party applications.
• Download Expiry: download link expires in (6) hours from the time of purchase.
• Download Limit: Download Limit is (4) times only.

Digitizing Policy
This service is provided for designs or patterns that are a copy of your original design only. If your pattern(s) needs to be cut out or are already cut out we will digitize them all and destroy all pattern pieces after the digitizing process is finished by using our industrial paper shredder.
Disclaimer:
If you decide to cancel your digitizing project all your duplicate or copies of your patterns will be destroyed by using our industrial paper shredder. We will not ship back any patterns to you. By submitting your duplicate or copy pattern(s) to us you understand and agree to our digitizing policy.
You are responsible for keeping your original designs with you and you are responsible for submitting only copies or duplicates or your original pattern or design(s) to us.

QUESTION: How long does it take for my order to ship?
ANSWER:
All orders placed on our website usually take 24-48 hours to ship out, at which point the shipping method time frame starts the day after shipment. Also, any orders placed on Fridays or the weekend will NOT be submitted for fulfillment until the following Monday morning.
PLEASE NOTE: Just because you did not receive a shipping confirmation email within 24-48 hours of ordering it does not mean that your order didn't ship yet; a lot of times the automated shipping confirmation emails are delayed slightly. Most orders arrive within the shipping time frame selected.
QUESTION: Will you send me tracking information once my order ships?
ANSWER:
Yes, a shipment email is sent to each customer once their order ships. Sometimes these are delayed by 24 hours or so, so even though you did not get a shipment email yet, your order may have already shipped, so please have patience.
QUESTION: What countries do you ship to?
QUESTION: Why don't you ship to my country?
ANSWER:
We add countries to ship to based primarily on liability. Specifically, we research how reliable a certain countries postal system is, incidence of credit card fraud from that country, and also how likely it is to get lost or stolen. We will add more countries in the future if enough demand exists.
QUESTION: It has been 1-3 days and I still have not received a shipping confirmation or tracking number. Why has my order not shipped yet?
ANSWER:
Just because you did not get a shipping email does not mean the order did not ship. The shipping fulfillment provider we use is sometimes delayed in sending shipping confirmations to our server, which are then relayed to you. A lot of times an order has shipped already but a tracking email has not been relayed to us yet.
But our fulfillment provider almost always gets the item to you in the number of business days of the shipping method you chose.
QUESTION: I ordered on a Friday/Saturday/Sunday and the package has not arrived in 3 days. Why?
ANSWER:
All orders on our website ship within 24-48 hours. And orders placed on weekends, including Friday afternoons, will NOT ship until the following Monday morning. Nothing ships on the weekends.
QUESTION: My orders tracking number says my package was delivered, but I did not get it. Whats going on?
ANSWER:
FOR USA CUSTOMERS:
This happens sometimes for a variety of reasons. Because the tracking number says you did in fact receive your order, there is not much we can do on our end. But here are the helpful steps we give to customers trying to track down a missing package:
1). Contact your local post office right away and ask to speak to the actual postman who delivers mail on your street. Ask him about the package and the day it says it was delivered (postman are pretty good at remembering packages on their route).
2). See if your local post office is holding the package for some reason.
3). Check with your immediate neighbors to see if the package was accidentally delivered to their mailboxes or houses.
4). Sometimes, though rarely, the package says 'delivered' because a worker or machine accidentally marked it as delivered during the sorting process, when it fact it is still on its way to you. This is why we always ask you to wait another couple of days if a package goes missing.
By following the above steps, almost all customers track down their missing packages.
FOR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
If your tracking number says your item was delivered but you did not get it, it is almost certainly being held by your local post office for additional customs charges. This is very common for UK customers. Please contact your local post office with the tracking number and they should tell you what you have to do.
QUESTION: I ordered from outside the U.S. and my tracking information has not been updated since it left the U.S. Is my package lost?
ANSWER:
Don't worry--this is a very common occurrence. Once an international package leaves the U.S. we have absolutely no control over it and it is now up to your country's postal system to deliver it to you.
The tracking might not even update until the package is delivered to you.The tracking may even update and say it was delivered to you, but sometimes that just means it was delivered to your local post office and they are either holding it before it goes out for delivery, or you may have to pay extra customs charges before you can get the package. We strongly recommend contacting your local post office right away if you think this has happened.

Refund Policy
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES
New and unused merchandise in their original packaging may be returned for a full refund or for an exchange within 14 days of order arrival date. Returns after 14 days of order arrival date are eligible for store credit. Please send merchandise along with a copy of the enclosed return slip to:

We suggest sending the package via certified/insured mail or UPS/Ground to obtain a record of your return. Please note that smartpatternmaking.com is not responsible for the cost of shipping, returns, exchanges, and/or any modified orders.
To return an item for refund:
1.Email us at returns@smartpatternmaking.com to request a Return Authorization Number
.2. Send us the unopened original package item you want to return along with a copy of your packing slip or e-receipt and a completed return/exchange form within 14 days of delivery.
3. Your debit/credit card will be credited back for price of merchandise only. Exchanges You can exchange unused merchandise (returned in original condition sold) for a replacement item of equal value. Should a replacement item be of greater value than your original order, a customer care representative will contact you for your payment info. Please note you still will have to pay returned shipping.
To exchange an item:
1. Email us at exchanges@smartpatternmaking.com to request an exchange Authorization number.
2. Select a replacement item on the return/exchange form included with your delivery.
3. Did we shipped you the wrong product(s)? dont worry, we'll replace and send you your correct item(s) This time, the shipping's on us!
Cancellations & Refunds: All orders cancelled after 48 hours are subject to a $20 administration fee whether or not your order has shipped. If you order has shipped, you (the buyer) will also be responsible for actual return shipping charges. Refunds will only be issued to the original credit card that you use when placing your order. (If you paid by check/ money order we will send you a check) Please note that regardless of the payment method you use you will receive a refund less the shipping and handling charges you paid on your original order.
