What is pattern digitizing?
In Apparel industry pattern digitizing is the process in which sewing patterns made of paper, cardboard or plastic get scanned into a computer CAD system to preserve its original design and shape and for further use and editing purposes. Paper Sewing Patterns are digitized then graded into a computer CAD System to later create several sizes of the same design to fit a particular body shape, customer or population.
